Leading the Charge

•  I would make our school a cafetiere and have a all you can eat buffet with different type for food everyday

• I would upgrade the middle and senior classes to make them like the junior classes.

• Create a different and more better park for the middles playground

• Upgrade the swimming pool area and make a better changing rooms with toilets and a better shower area.

•  I would upgrade the sitting area outside the classes.

Pros

• You are considered a GOAT there fore you are a legend

• You have a major influence and you are a role model to all that do what you do

• You gain a great living with even greater pay

Cons

• You have less time to spend with family considering your doing that thing all the time

• You have such high standards to meet

• Your decisions have much more of an impact

equal pay for equal work

Its fair for the woman rugby to get the same equal pay as men because they

 both play the same game and the woman are as good as the men player

or better, so I think that women who play rugby should get the same

pay as the man players.I feel like its very unfair the men players to get different

from the woman because the woman who play sports are mostly the same speed as the men or better so I believe that the women players and the men players should get the same pay as each other.

For maths class we learnt shapes from 3 to 12 sides and wrote them down on a grid and added what the shapes look like and how and edges and vertices each shape has.

For day two's first activity we had to create similes about the athlete Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. For first activity you could use the starters  that were provided or create your own.

We were asked to make our own pepeha or re-use one of our own pepeha's we made from the previous years.I remade one of my old pepeha's  so then it could look better and also have the correct spelling in it.

step 1- paste the top of the pizza bread with tomato sauce 

step 2- Dice red pepper, tomato, red onions and ham

Step 3- spread all your veggies ham , cheese, pineapple on top. Put sauce on top and bake

Today with the help of Mrs Tuipolotu we made a

Step 1 - Boil lasagna with two cups of water until it is soft

Step 2 - Cook mince until it is cooked, add sauce and cheese

Step 3 - Taste if needed and more salt or spices

2- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder

3- 1/2 cup of sugar

Step 2- 1 egg 1/2 cup of milk- 1/2 cup of oil

Food tech

Today at teach the year eight tech group had a cooking session with Miss Tuipulotu and  we made a English breakfast  with Toast. sausages,bacon,eggs, and baked beans,After we had cooked everything we sat down and waited for Miss Tuipulotu to come around and take photos for our blog post.Once she had finished we sat down and ate the English breakfast and enjoyed the food in silence, i had a great time cooking! Wonder what we will make next.

Tech class- food

Food Tech

on Wednesday we changed classes, my group is in Mrs Tuipulotu's class which is cooking class. we made Tuna salad, we washed our hands then got busy in our little groups we our put in by Mrs Tuipulotu. First we got out  the things we needed to use for cooking, then we got a pot and took it to Mrs Tuipulotu's table at the front of the class so she could put the pasta in the pot. While some did that another person took the big bowl to Mrs Tuipulotu so she could put the veggies in each tables bowl.

Then Mrs Tuipulotu called back everyone but the people that  was stirring the pot so then the pasta wouldn't stick to the bottom of the pot, she called them so then she could tech them how to cut the veggies she gave us. After they learnt how to cut the veggies they all went back to their groups and started cutting the veggies for the Tuna salad. After that she came around to see if pasta' s were finished and if it was then we were told to put it in the strainer to strain all the water that was in the pot, when all the hot was strain we were told to add cold water to cool it down since we was making a Tuna salad.

Next Mrs Tuipulotu called one of the people from each table to go get the bowl of tuna so we could need it in after finish cutting the veggies, we finished cutting the veggies then Mrs Tuipulotu came round and put one big spoon full of mayo into our bowl then we got told to make sure that the pasta is cooled down and that all the water is strained out. Then we were told to put the pasta into the bowl and mixed it all together, then added the tuna and mixed the tuna in with the rest of it.

volcanoes

Last week we had to research 20 volcanoes in Auckland/ New Zealand, we had research the name, the maori name and if its domant or active. Most of the volcanoes in New Zealand are dormant or just inactive, I think theirs 5 or 6 I  have written down that are active. 

Tech class

Last term we were learning how to make things out of wood because I am in one of the tech classes that are doing wood. Mr Thomas is our teacher in wood works, in our class we are making a small  wooden box that we could place small objects in for save keeping.So far we have learnt about the tools that are in the workshop and how to use them the right way,

These are the some of the tools we use the most in the workshop,there is a chisel, a bench hook, a wooden mallet and a try square.

we have also learnt how to make joints to connect the other pieces of our project  together. I think my project is nearly done the only things I have to do is finish sanding the sides to my box then wait for Mr Thomas to give us the texting instruction.

camp

This is what I didn't like, I miss and my highlights my camp.

I miss camp because of our funny vibes we had at camp and I also miss hanging out with my group.

sand and salt experiment

Last Friday we did an experiment on sand and salt, So Mr Raj added sand into a cup then put salt in the same cup. We mixed the sand and salt to together then my group added some water in the cup and mixed the water with the sand and salt, while we were mixing the thing together Mr Raj  told us to try separate the sand from the salt.

We tried separating the sand and salt from each other but we couldn’t so Mr got us to research about it, we researched and found out ways in separate the salt from the sand

Manaiakalani learner Questionnaire

This is the Manaikalani leaner questionnaire that my class has done.

I  liked that the question were easy to answer, the question that was tricky for me was none of them because they were all easy in me. The question they didn't ask was' how we didn't or did blog post and what we post about.

I think we should get a reward for finishing this survey, if we did get rewarded i think i would prefer us getting  chocolate ice cream because I put a lot of effort in my learning and into this survey!

whole class activity

Yesterday we were doing a class activity about the solar system. Mr Raj got a planet toy that talks about each planet and spins around. WE had so much fun using it and we can't wait to learn more!
